Quick make up fix plus why I've been gone.

Hi guys! There's been sooo much stuff going on in my life right now that's been keeping me from blogging, but I'm glad I've been so busy! It was all fashion related ;D The first big news actualy happened like 2 weeks ago... I was called to be an extra in a movie! We had to be on set at 6pm and filmed until 6am, so I was basicaly a zombie for one week from going to sleep so late. Buuut the thing that made me insanely happy was that the fashion designer responsible for all the clothing in the movie was there helping with the costumes the whole time, and he was the one that asked the casting people to find "A girl with white blond hair" haha =] He is insanely nice and his clothing line rocks... he will be getting his own post, of course. ;)

Second big thing: I am no longer a blondie! =[
Not exactly by choice... I dyed my hair for an event where I was dressed up as Leeloo from The Fifth Element!
I wanted to make regular posts about the whole thing, to keep you up to date, but I just didn't have time for it. Sooo I'll just make one post about the whole adventure. It'll be worth the wait, don't worry.

But I'm not here only to say I'm sorry (I've been doing that alot, haven't I?). I've actualy been struggling with video editing softwares (and that's why I also took so long to get this up) because I filmed a little experiment I did to try and save my make up that broke! So if you've ever had trouble with compact powders breaking, than its worth watching this:

Since I made this video, I've heard of another way to save your broken powders. Apparently if you take plastic wrap, put it over the broken powder and then press down hard, you can get the particles back together. I haven't tried it yet, but it's deffinately woth a shot, since the alcohol I used did seem to take away some of the product's original quality.

And that's it for now.
If you have any other tips on how to save make up, send them through comment or e-mail!

Lime Crime

First of all, I'm so sorry for not posting in over 2 weeks, but now I'm back! And I'll try to make it up to you by posting my first video!
Lots has happened during this time... Including getting new make up in the mail!
I made quite a big order because I always get excited when buying make up. Hahaha!

The name of the brand is Lime Crime, and it's slogan: "So bright it's illegal"!
The founder goes by the pseudonim of Doe Deere and is a lover of unicorns and bright colors.
It is a farely new brand, created in 2008, and has spiked up some controversy on the web but I am not here to discuss that. I'm here to give my sincere and unbiased opinion on the products.

I bought 5 shades of lipstick, 7 shades of eyeshadow and got 4 more eyeshadows thanks to a promo code. =]
The packaging is quite cute, and embraces the spirit of the brand (everything has shiny unicorns on it), including the box it all came in.

I have devided the review in 2 parts. The first being about the lipstick and the second about the eyeshadow. I'm also got some great tutorials in HD planned for the near future!

The 5 shades of lipstick I bought are the following:

Cosmopop, D'Lilac, My Beautiful Rocket, No She Didn't, Stylleto... Turns out "My Beautiful Rocket" isn't so beautiful...

I thought they were ok lipsticks in general but not sure if I'd buy them again. They get points for uniqueness but nothing much other than that. They are definately very creamy lipsticks but there's just something about them that doesn't make them worth US$16. The only one I'd probably buy again is "No She Didn't".

Another thing I'd like to point out: the packaging is very cute IMO, and does not LOOK cheap, but it does FEEL cheap to the touch. It's a very light-weight packaging. I expected something sturdier for 16 bucks.

Here are my indepth thoughts on them:

Im sorry for all the "uuuh..."s. It was my first time talking in front of a camera! hahaha

So yeah, I don't think Youtube likes me too much because an error always occured when uploading the video's version with no background noise and now they've cut 1 minute off of this version!
I hope these glitches get sorted out soon!

Hope you enjoyed this and I'd love your feedback!
